Reggae City

I started this brief through a series of emails from a promoter who wanted a logo and branding for a Reggae festival in Birmingham. The client wanted the city skyline to be included in the logo along with a lion, other than that the brief was pretty open.

I started looking at the lions they sent over and mocked them up in different poses along with a vectored skyline. I then created a set of thumbnails with various ideas and styles and sent them to the client in order for them to pick out what they liked.

I also suggested that we should put the name of the festival on a nameplate unique to Birmingham. They liked this idea, so I researched all the ones in circulation and mocked some up.

After bouncing a few logos back and forth the finished work was done.
